The Opportunity
Are you ready to build the engine for a product that developers genuinely love? We are on a mission to redefine the developer experience by building a cutting-edge Agentic AI Platform. We’re looking for a Senior Product Engineer who can bridge the gap between complex AI workflows and rock-solid software engineering.
The Challenge You'll Tackle
- Master the Runtime: Work at the intersection of agentic frameworks, code sandboxes, and application frameworks.
- Enable AI Innovation: Partner with AI engineers to optimize agentic workflows, providing the deep software engineering skills necessary to make models performant and reliable in production.
- Architect for Security: Help evolve our strategy for executing unknown and potentially unsafe code, ensuring the system remains secure, efficient, and robust.
- Drive Reliability: Co-own platform stability, identifying technical risks early and ensuring our monitoring and observability signals are world-class.
What Success Looks Like
- Within 1 month: Ship your first piece of production-ready code.
- Within 3 months: Act as the primary engineering partner for AI specialists, shipping key features that enhance agentic capabilities.
- Within 6 months: Establish new patterns for agentic services and mentor others on distributed systems and async debugging.
- Within 12 months: Become a technical authority for the backend, guiding the team through scaling challenges and shaping the product roadmap.
Requirements
- Polyglot Expertise: Deep experience in Node.js and proficiency in Go.
- Startup Mindset: Previous experience in a fast-paced startup environment is essential.
- Observability/Telemetry: Proven experience working with observability stacks and telemetry data.
- AI Curiosity: A strong interest in AI and an eagerness to experiment in a rapidly evolving space.
- Technical Judgment: Ability to leverage AI coding tools to accelerate development without sacrificing code quality or security.
- Communication: Values autonomy and excels at documentation and knowledge sharing.
- Fluency: Must be professionally fluent in English.
