Founding Engineer (Senior)

 A seed-stage e-commerce company with just two employees and $3M in funding is seeking a Founding Engineer with over 5 years of experience. The company's mission is to reimagine how people celebrate and stay connected through meaningful, tangible moments, bridging the digital and physical worlds. The ideal candidate will be a full-stack generalist ready to own and build across the entire stack, from mobile and web to the backend.

This is a unique opportunity to work closely with ex-Coinbase and Apple founders on a design-forward consumer product. The role offers significant ownership, the chance to define the early engineering culture, and the ability to iterate quickly on MVP features in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

The company is looking for a candidate with strong experience in:

• Full-Stack Development: Owning and building across the entire stack, including mobile, web, and backend services.
• Rapid Prototyping: Iterating quickly on MVP features and social experiences.
• Core Technologies: Proficiency in Node.js and React.
• E-commerce: Experience integrating payments and gifting features.
• Product Development: Collaborating with design and marketing to build tools for generative card creation and personalization.

The ideal candidate for this role has a background working with US-based VC-backed startups or fast-growing non-US startups. 

They have experience working with US companies and come from product-based companies, not dev shops. They are a senior, autonomous engineer who is comfortable in a remote-first, async-friendly environment.
