Founding ML Engineer (Junior+)

 A Seed-stage enterprise software company with just two employees and $500K in funding is searching for a Founding ML Engineer with at least 1 year of experience. This remote position offers the opportunity to join a small, fast-moving team focused on automating enterprise email communication for sales teams. The ideal candidate will have heavy autonomy and the chance to build and shape a rapidly growing product from the ground up.

The role involves designing, building, and deploying AI models to production, with a specific focus on RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) models to power core email drafting automation. This is a chance to have a significant impact on a product, from building the core technology to working on infrastructure and developing new features.

The company is looking for a candidate with experience in:

• Machine Learning: Building and integrating RAG models to automate email drafting.
• Production Deployment: Setting up evaluation and confidence systems and deploying ML models to production.
• Core Technologies: Strong proficiency in Python and familiarity with a modern ML/AI stack.
• Infrastructure: Experience working on the infrastructure required to support ML models.
• Autonomy: A proven ability to work independently in a small, fast-moving team.

The ideal candidate for this role has a background working with US-based VC-backed startups or fast-growing non-US startups. 

They have experience working with US companies and come from product-based companies, not dev shops. They are a senior, autonomous engineer who is comfortable in a remote-first, async-friendly environment.
