About the Role

We are looking for a passionate sports enthusiast to join one of the fastest-growing startups in Ottawa. Our company has emerged as a leader in the sports coaching software industry, combining innovative technology to help coaches gain a competitive advantage.

As our first-ever full-time marketing team member, you will play a full-stack role, coordinating all marketing efforts within the business. This is not a paid-ads-only position; you will work across content, campaigns, social, email, landing pages, and analytics to build marketing processes from the ground up.

Responsibilities

  • Growth Marketing: Own the majority of growth activities and manage multi-channel campaigns to drive leads and revenue.
  • Social Media & Brand: Manage strategy and execution across X/Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn while building brand authority.
  • Content Production: Plan, create, and publish blogs, emails, ad copy, case studies, and social posts.
  • Events & SEO: Support marketing activities for trade shows and conferences; implement SEO strategies to increase organic traffic.
  • Analytics: Monitor content performance at every stage of the marketing funnel.
  • Operational Support: Assist with customer support during the peak football season (August – November).

Requirements

  • Writing Excellence: Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to create content that resonates with technical sports coaches.
  • Experience: Ideally up to 2 years in Marketing, SaaS, or a startup environment (strong entry-level candidates are welcome).
  • Sports Knowledge: A solid understanding of the football space and a genuine interest in sports technology.
  • Mindset: A "roll-up-your-sleeves" attitude, comfortable in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
  • Availability: Willingness to work irregular hours, specifically Friday nights (4 PM - 12 AM ET) during the fall football season.

Role Overview

We’re looking for someone passionate about sports to join one of the fastest-growing startups in Ottawa. We have emerged as a blue-chip company in the sports coaching software industry, combining innovative technology to help coaches win more games. As a Customer Success Associate, you will solve problems and thrive in high-pressure situations, ensuring our users have a seamless experience when it matters most.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Support: Provide in-season and game-day support, specifically handling phone calls, emails, and chats on Thursday nights, Friday nights, and Saturdays during the football season.
  • Onboarding & Retention: Manage customer onboarding and handle account renewals during the off-season.
  • Product Expertise: Become an expert in operating and supporting our proprietary products.
  • Travel: Ability to travel within Canada and to the U.S. as required.

Requirements

  • Must Haves: Strong communication, critical thinking skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Schedule: Full willingness to work evenings and weekends throughout the football season (August – December).
  • Nice to Haves: Deep knowledge of how football coaches operate and a genuine passion for sports.

What You'll Do


  • Close High-Volume Leads: Leverage experience closing SMB SaaS deals to manage and convert a steady stream of inbound interest.
  • Strategic Deal Management: Quarterback complex deals involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Consultative Selling: Work with C-Level Executives and Business Owners to understand their business challenges and propose solutions on behalf of the Company.
  • Product Mastery: Learn the platform inside and out to ensure customers achieve their desired outcomes.
  • Relationship Management: Ensure 100% customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Sales Operations: Maintain and track all customer interactions accurately within the CRM.


Requirements


  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience selling SaaS.
  • Model: Experience with a Product-Led Growth (PLG) business model is strongly preferred.
  • Deal Size: Proven experience closing deals from $5k–$10k+ ARR .
  • Performance: A proven track record as a top performer in previous roles.
  • Agility: Comfortable with a high degree of ambiguity and a rapidly changing environment.
  • Mindset: An independent self-starter with a bias for action and strong negotiation skills.
  • Organization: High attention to detail and a need to stay organized.
  • Soft Skills: A strong sense of empathy and high emotional intelligence.
