Member of Technical Staff (Product Engineering)
As a Full Stack Product Engineer, you will span the entire technical stack—from building robust data pipelines and scraping systems to crafting engaging front-end experiences focused on gamification and growth loops.
You will own the systems that collect, structure, and serve data, while simultaneously building delightful, consumer-facing flows that feel "game-like." This role requires the ability to move fast, operate in ambiguity, and shape the direction of the product from its earliest stages.
Core Responsibilities
Backend & Infrastructure
- Scalable Serving: Set up inference/serving infrastructure and API serving at scale for clients with millions of requests.
- Data Pipelines: Build systems to ingest, process, and retrieve data from the web, files, and various external sources.
- AI Orchestration: Build systems capable of running AI agents, synthetically generating data, and evaluating results.
- Crawling & Scraping: Create scalable crawling and scraping systems specifically for visual and "taste" data.
- Reliability: Develop supporting services and tooling to improve overall system scalability and reliability.
Front-End & Product
- Operational Tooling: Build applications for internal teams to manage data projects and external tools for experts to annotate and contribute data.
- Product Features: Implement gamification elements such as quizzes, reward flows, and leaderboards.
- Collaboration: Partner with researchers and creative experts to scope and build AI-driven features.
What We're Looking For
- Technical Breadth: Strong background in cloud infrastructure, systems design, and automation.
- AI/Data Expertise: Experience with embeddings, index creation, and maintenance. Familiarity with LLM-powered systems.
- Data Engineering: Proven experience with web scraping, data extraction, and large-scale processing operations.
- Development Operations: Experience building or maintaining CI/CD systems and tooling.
- Language Proficiency: Strong professional experience with Python.
